After a longer than expected trip (it included a detour to Fort Smith, Arkansas, for example), I finally made it to Buenos Aires, where I expect to spend three weeks relaxing, walking, and visiting old friends. My husband couldn´t come this time, since he got a gig illustrating a children book, and money is money. As a result, I will not be able to do the type of reporting I enganged in last year (I am devoted to my readers, but I doubt B. would see it the same way). But fear not, I plan to blog frequently while in my home city. And don't feel sorry for B. either, he will be attending this awesome conference. So far, in my 12 hours since arrival, I survived the traditional Saturday lunch with all members of my family (I had very little sleep and they talk very loud all the time), took a walk just to start feeling the energy of the city, went into a few shops and was horrified by the prices (let alone the lack of any size bigger than an 8 if you are lucky), and admired again how effortlesly elegant Argentine women are (note to self, don't go out wearing sneakers unless you are going to the gym). I'm going to bed now, more to come soon.
Any special request regarding blogging while in Buenos Aires? As I said, I'll have plenty of free time, so I can experiment the city and blog about it later.
